Jatropha Curcas production

This specific activity enters a more global industrial step forward around a biodiesel production at La Rochelle.

Jatropha Curcas is a tree which produces non edible oil seeds.

Around 2 000 000 Jatropha trees are produced on a private property of 1 000 ha by 200 farmers.

In 2011 we expect a crop of 3 000 mt of seeds.

This farm is considered as a school for the local farmers, with a goal to reach 20 000 ha within 3 years.
